Fully funded for eligible learners and employers
Course fees are covered through the UK government apprenticeship funding system. Larger employers pay through their apprenticeship levy, money already set aside for exactly this. Smaller employers typically have 95–100% of the cost covered by government co-investment.

Level 4 AI apprenticeship FAQs
Who can apply?
You need to be employed in a UK organisation with your employer’s support, and meet standard apprenticeship eligibility rules. No degree and no advanced programming experience are required. How much time does it take each week?
Apprenticeships include dedicated learning time within your normal working hours, typically around six hours a week, agreed with your employer. Because projects are based on your actual job, much of what you learn is applied directly to work you’d be doing anyway.
Do I get paid during the apprenticeship?
Yes. You stay in your existing job on your existing salary. This is an upskilling programme for people in work, not a placement. Nothing changes about your employment except the new skills and qualification you gain.
Is Level 4 the right level for me?
Level 4 is equivalent to a Higher National Certificate or the first year of university, and it’s the practical, business-focused route, ideal if you want to use AI and automation tools rather than engineer them. You’ll hold a nationally recognised Level 4 qualification and a portfolio of real improvements you delivered in your workplace.
